Stroke Awareness Month

May is Stroke Awareness Month. Know the signs and symptoms of stroke and B.E. F.A.S.T. Additional warning signs include:

  • Sudden confusion
  • Trouble speaking or understanding speech
  • Sudden numbness or weakness of face, arm or leg (especially on one side of the body)
  • Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes
  • Sudden trouble walking, dizziness
  • Loss of balance or coordination
  • Sudden severe headache with no known cause.

Texas Emergency Care Centers are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year for all of your emergency medical needs.
